Vegan Thanksgiving Dinner on a Budget: Under $50!
I Have something to say so the first 3-4 mins is me talking about why I’m doing this cooking video.
In these tough financial times, many people are struggling to make ends meet. But that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on a delicious Thanksgiving dinner! In this video, I show you how to make a complete vegan Thanksgiving feast for under $50.
I spent around $35 on groceries and $15 on table settings, and I already had some extra items on hand. But I didn’t use too much, just to keep it fair.
In this video, we’re making:
    •    Sage Fried Tofu and Mushroom Gravy
    •    Cornbread Dressing
    •    Green Bean Casserole
    •    Baked Mac and Cheese
    •    Whipped Sweet Potatoes
    •    Lentil Stew
    •    Cucumber Salad
    •    Rustic Apple Pie

Here are budget friendly tips:

Be sure to check your sales apps or papers for what you may wang to cook. Discount stores are great however sometimes the sales at major retailers can be better.

If you can holiday shop over a period of 2-3 weeks do so because the store sale’s constantly changes. A lot of times if it’s not on sale this week it will be the following week.

If you’re shopping and you fresh items on sale and if it’s in your budget, purchase it and freeze it for later use. Be sure to have freezer safe bags and a marker to know the date of your items. Most things shouldn’t go past 6 months

When using canned items (except for beans and tomatoes, and chick peas) Rinse off the brine and salted water

If using a Food Pantry, let them know of your dietary needs and they may vegan meat substitutes and give you more than what you need. A lot of food pantries get donated items that get trashed because majority of people don’t request it.
